Rs 2.55 crore of fake currency seized after demonetisation

Fake currency notes with a cumulative face value of about Rs 2.55 crore have been seized along international borders of India between November 8, 2016, when the government temporarily banned high-currency notes, and July 14, 2017, the government informed Parliament on Tuesday. Gujarat led all states, accounting for more than half of such seizures.
