Vistara’s net loss in 2016-17 at Rs 518 crore

Vistara, the joint airline venture of the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, posted revenues of Rs 1,390 crore and a net loss of Rs 518 crore in 2016-17. Vistara is one of the newest airlines in India, commencing operations in January 2015. Among the older, more established airlines, IndiGo reported a healthy profit in 2016-17, while Jet Airways and SpiceJet had relatively slim pickings.
