IMF trims India GDP growth forecast for 2017 and 2018

The International Monetary Fund lowered its economic growth forecast for India to 6.7% for 2017 (down by 0.5 percentage points projected in July) and 7.4% for 2018 (down 0.3 percentage points). However, it adds, structural reforms, including the goods and services tax, are expected to help the economy recover to cross 8% growth. It also lowered 2017 projections for China and ASEAN-5.
